A deposit secures your kit and is fully refunded when all reusable items are returned. Do I need any prior repair experience?

No! The kit is designed for complete beginners as well as people who want to build confidence before working on real devices.

What if I make a mistake?

That’s the point! The kit is built for low-risk learning, with live feedback that helps you spot and fix errors without damaging a real phone.

Do I have to return the kit?

Yes - to keep waste to a minimum, we operate a rental system rather than selling single-use kits. As with our Junior Repair Programme, we charge a £15 refundable deposit, which you’ll get back if you return the kit within 3 months.

Are you sending me a broken phone?

No - you won’t be sent a broken phone. The kit is designed to let you practice diagnosis and repair skills without the risk of damaging a real device. It uses purpose-built components that replicate common phone faults, so you can learn, test, and repeat repairs safely before working on an actual phone.

Do I need my own tools?

We offer two options: a kit-only version for those who already have their own repair tools, and a kit plus tools option for an additional £14.99. If you choose the kit plus tools option, the tools are yours to keep at the end - no need to return with the rest of the kit!

When will I receive my repair kit?

This is a presale. We aim to ship the kits in Q2 this year (around May) but exact dates may change.

Do you only make kits to teach mobile phone repair?

For now yes, but we would love to expand into other items. We picked a mobile phone to start with because of feedback from our audience. Contact us at hello@team.repair if you have any burning requests for the gadget we do next!

Is this suitable for children?

This is a repair kit designed for adults. We have a dedicated Junior Repair Programme for children aged 10-14, which you can find out about here!

Is this available internationally?

For now, this is only available for the UK. However we hope to make it available internationally eventually - sign up to our international mailing list to stay up to date!
